Business Phone Systems (VOIP): The Advantage of Australian Business
I hate to sound a harsh, but countries like Australia are only just finding out about VOIP (Voice/Video Over Internet Protocol) based business phone systems. There is nothing wrong with being behind the times. Sometimes, being a little late, means you get the best of what was done before. Take a look at the US market… It is swamped with junk operators, through to the best of the best. There are too many options to choose from. In Australia, there are only one or two, about one, and only one, rocking operators/vendors to choose from. What does that mean for you? It is a pretty simple answer. You get the best, you get it first, and you get it backed to the hilt. Just like you should. We are talking about Australia, and that means a company that delivers. Here is a look at the current reality…
- Vendors. There are only about 1 or 2 serious operators in the market. You can tell who they are because of their backing, support and partners. This is all evident on their company website. Search for ‘business phone systems’, and you will see what I am talking about.
- VOIP Phone or What? Everyone is trying to sell you a VOIP business telephone system under a different name. What is VOIP? And what is a business phone system? It is very simple. It is a software application housed in the vendors dedicated servers running at super high speeds, connected to your company’s internet so you can use the internet to make all the video calls and phone calls you want for just about nothing
- So How Does the Vendor Make Money? The vendor makes money because you continue to use their services. You are happy to pay their service fee because you are reducing your call costs so radically, while making more calls. You would like a new number in Chile, and have a call centre there to take care of your new consumer base, while you arrange an outbound call centre out of Santiago, on your VOIP number and system? That is the service fee you pay to your vendor. Your vendor takes care of it every time, all the time.
- Investment. This business is IT. It is already heavily invested in. IT stands for Investment Tenfold. Your provider has enough money to do what they do for 10 years without a customer, and they already have 100 of them. You should be careful; maybe they don’t want your business.
- Understanding Professionals. Are you the best at what you do? This is a simple question. If your answer is no, then I suggest you go home.
- Solutions. A business phone operator knows what will work for your organization. They will arrange what is right for you. After that, they will give you suggestions to work and grow your business. Why would they not want you to do extremely well? Think about this question very deep, and very hard. Your business communications support company only wants you to grow and make more money. This is the only way they will get paid more money from you. And you will be happy to pay for it.
If you can think of it, there is a VOIP system function that can be created or integrated into your system. The best providers will enjoy the challenge of your request.
VoIP allows you to access your phone system anywhere there’s an Internet connection, anywhere in the world. It’s a smart option for budget-minded businesses – especially those that have a traveling workforce. Since Voice-over-IP can easily be used with wireless connections, your employees can access your phone system while at home in Staffordshire or on the road. And VoIP systems offer flexibility, allowing you to adjust and expand your services as your business needs change.
