We all long for that wonderful companionship that really changes our lives…. No I’m not talking about a human companion. We’re talking pets! It’s especially hard to find a pet that’s apartment friendly. It’s hard to find the perfect pet that takes up little space and to nurture and care for an animal that needs exercise is not option in an apartment. This article will introduce you to pets that are ideal for little apartments and that can even add good vibes to your new home. We’re going to split these ideal apartment pets into 3 categories: Terrestrial, Oceanic, and Warming.

Terrestrial

Some pets can add some flare to a cool apartment theme. Some even bring out that extra visual appeal to the whole place. Try considering an amphibian or reptile. Geckos, turtles, toads, salamander, and even dragons can add an extra pizzazz into the room. They are also pets that are easy to care for and take little room. They require a tank that’s at least 10 gallons and 10 gallon tanks are usually no bigger than 2 feet. All you have to do is feed your little creature once a week (depending on which pet you go with) and clean their tank when needed. These pets go great with modern and neutral tones in the apartment and tend to stick out and wow guests. The only con to these creatures is that they may require you to drop some crickets into a tank. Some find this a drawback but the good news is they have dead ones for sale as well if you can’t find the courage to take on live action.

Oceanic

Oceanic pets are the most majestic of all. You can bring home the magic of the sea and let them add that calming air to your home. You don’t need to get the boring single goldfish if you don’t want to. Salt water fish always add extra cool points to any pad. You can always add any decoration to match your home. You can make fishes tank safari themed, oceanic themed, castle themed, etc. Not into fish? How about hermit crabs? Their decorated shells can boost up their dull appearances and they’re very easy to maintain. Just some dry food and water is all the need and they’re fairly easy to maintain. Only con is since you can’t really interact with the fish you may not be able to form an emotional bond.

Warming

For those of us who want a pet that sits on your lap and cuddles up with you this is your category. We’re going to discuss small pets that require little activity. Some small pets that you can consider is ferret, rabbit, guinea pigs, etc. They’re pretty self content but love the physical and emotional contact when they do have it. Since these are furry animals they require a lot more maintenance than the above but not too much. These little furry guys however, so smell a little bit when it comes time to use the bathroom. They’re not as bad as let’s say a dog or cat but all animals so carry these with them so daily clean ups are a must! They’re friendly, adorable, and cuddly and are less costly than bigger pets.

Although the above pets are great animals to add to a home make sure to do some extra research to see which pet is right for you. Always make sure to ask the landlord and any roommates you have if its OK to bring a new pet to your home.

Equine nutrition is a complex subject – but if you would like to ensure your working horse’s diet is maximised, consider supplementing it with a high-quality feed supplement.

Carefully controlled stress to the horse’s limbs is necessary in order to build strength, but it can put the joints under pressure if the horse does not have the resources in his diet to combat the stress.

A typical joint consists of the meeting of two bones; their articular surfaces are covered in cartilage which provides a smooth, surface for ease of movement – however, poor equine joint support can lead degeneration of the joints, and osteoarthritis, the most common form of trauma found in today’s athletic horse.

Equine bones are kept apart by synovial fluid. Chondroprotective agents are manufactured by the horse’s body to help boost synovial fluid, protect the joints, and help the horse’s limbs and structures cope with the animal’s workload. However, they may also be found in high-quality feed supplements to help boost equine mobility.

Chondroprotective agents:

• Support production of synovial fluid

• Inhibit joint degeneration

The most important chondroprotective agents are glucosamine and Chondroitin. HI-PERFORMANCE PLUS, a feed supplement from EQUILISER, includes Glucosamine, Chondroitin and also the sulphur MSM, to assist with mobility and joint health; all are absorbed easily into the horse’s system, due to the organic minerals and amino acids in the supplement. http://www.equiliser.co.uk

98% of EQUILISER customers notice an improvement in their horses within the first four weeks of products such as HI-PERFORMANCE PLUS – can you say that of your feed supplement?

FIVE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD USE EQUILISER HI-PERFORMANCE PLUS:

Improves fibre digestion in the horse’s large intestine, helping to unlock and realise the potential energy in commonly fed forages

Improves hoof quality.

Helps horses stay calm

Contributes to soundness

Enables the gut to function in a more natural and efficient way

There are those families who all agree wholeheartedly that it’s time to get a dog. Everybody offers opinions and study on what type of dog to get and they all chip in when the new pet is brought home. There are also those families where only one or two of them want a dog, others might want a cat or some other type of pet and still others – thinking of the work and disruption to their daily routine – don’t want a pet at all.

Some dogs are brought to their new home with a unanimous, enthusiastic group of people, everyone cheerfully setting up the feeding bowls, agreeing the best food, and deciding who is going to walk Fido first. Other dogs are snuck in as stealth missions, their advocates all the while working up the right “story” to get the recalcitrant members of the family to grudgingly agree. And still others are brought home under family conditions and agreement that fall somewhere in between these two ends of the spectrum.

For all of the above circumstances by which a dog joins a new household, there are common steps to make the dog a part of the family. This, after all, is a living thing and we, being higher beings, have a responsibility to care for those lesser creatures we bring into our home that provide us with unconditional love and approval.

So what you can do to make your new dog a member of the family? First, make the right decision for the type of dog for your household. Do you live in a small apartment? Do you like big dogs that are bred for sport? If you answered yes to both of those questions then you have provided an example of where a breed of dog is not a fit for your household. Another example might be where you are looking for a dog to accompany you on your morning three-mile run. Do you really have the heart to make a small, lapdog with short, stubby legs try to keep up with you?

You get the picture. Take a good look at your house and the people living there. Try to match what you are looking for in a pet with the reality that you are bringing that pet into.

Second, make formal training of your new dog a precondition for both the age of the dog you get and your budget. This is especially important for those families where not all are onboard, or are plainly opposed, to bringing a pet into your collective space and lives. A dog that barks constantly or does not walk straight and proper on a leash annoys the person that loves it, much more so the person that never wanted the dog to start with.

Finally, realize that a household is comprised of both people and the objects that are attached to each person under a roof. That desk of Dad’s is part of who he is in the house; Mom’s antique chest of drawers helps define her space and what she values; Brother’s room with his sports posters, Sister’s shelf with her collectables. All these objects mixed together with the people who add meaning to them are how a house becomes a home. So, find something to put in your house that makes your dog a part of the collective stuff of home. Sure, its food and water dish count, but think of something that goes beyond basic needs. For example, instead of simply replacing bags of treats in the pantry, how about buying a dog treat jar that sits in the kitchen area. People start associating this object with the dog and the dog takes one more step to be a part of the family collective, with its own “stuff” in the house. Find a treat jar that matches your dog’s personality or find a cookie jar and dub it the treat jar for the dog.

Now, when that reluctant family member gets a treat for the dog, he or she starts to associate that object with meaning, and maybe, start to accept the new dog as part of the life of the home. The treat jar indicates the dog is here to stay, it has its own stuff right there on the kitchen counter.

Your dog is a living being. Treat it well, make it part of your family. It’s the least you can do for a creature that wants nothing more than to unconditionally accept and love you its whole life.

Dog grooming supplies is just a small part of what is commonly referred to as the Pet Economy. The annual outlay for pet care in the United States is approximately 41 billion dollars.

The outlay of cash for pets includes a wide variety of care and maintenance products.

Professional Dog Grooming Supplies

Pedicure Services

Dog Walking Services

Medical Care

Toys

Registration and Licensing Fees

Dog Food

The true cost of owning a dog can be much higher than many people anticipate. But to properly care for your dog the economics have to take a back seat to first class care.

There are many types of dog grooming supplies. But let’s take a look at what is the essential and minimum ones that you really should have on hand.

Dog Brushes and Combs – Most dogs as you know shed. They need to be brushed and/or combed on a regular basis to keep their coat in a healthy condition.

Nail Trimmers – Dogs are not unlike humans when it comes to their nails. They grow and need to be trimmed from time to time. The exact timing of nail trimming is determined by breed and the particular environment the dog lives in.

Dog Shampoos and Soap – There are special products that you should use on your dog in order to keep its hair clean and their skin in good condition. You should never use “human” products on your dog. It is not good for them.

Ear Care For Your Dog – There are specialized products that you should use to clean your dog’s ears with. You should never use cotton swabs or Q-tips. Make sure to ask your vet or groomer for proper instructions on how to care for your dog’s ears.

Dog Hair Clippers – Some dogs get hair cuts and others don’t. I am not a big fan of clipping a dog’s hair unless their breed really calls for it. Most dogs have a coat of hair for a reason and you should never mess with your dogs well being simply for aesthetic reasons.

The market is enormous for dog grooming supplies. There are specialty niches for these supplies. One in particular is for professional dog grooming supplies. People are fanatics when it comes to their dogs and dog shows. They will go to any length to make sure that their dogs look absolutely perfect come show time.

Pet grooming for dogs or any animal is very important. A clean well kept dog is less likely to get sick or attract any variety of unwanted fleas, insects, or other uncomfortable visitors. As a responsible owner it is your obligation to make sure that your pet is kept clean and in good health.

There really is nothing more exciting to a dog than for you to have a good dog brush that you use on a regular basis. It will get rid of unwanted loose hair and also feel so good to your dog. They will get excited and start running around as soon as you break out the brush. So give your dog a treat once a week when they are not shedding and daily when they are shedding. Using a good quality dog brush is part of a basic dog grooming regiment.

You can find basic dog grooming supplies for sale in all types of retail stores. Certainly you can find them in pet stores such as: PetSmart and Petco. You can also find a wide variety of good grooming supplies at stores like Wal-Mart and Target. Show dog grooming supplies are more specialized and can be found at pet stores and online.

You can become a do it yourself dog groomer or hire a professional. But the important point is that you don’t forget to groom your dog. If money is tight and you need to get cheap dog grooming supplies then Wal-Mart or Target really is your best bet. They might not be as fancy as the pet store brands but they will get the job done and that is what should be your major concern.

Home dog grooming supplies should be well kept, clean, and in their proper place so that you can find them when it is time to use them. Many people take care of grooming on their own. It gives them a chance to bond with their dogs and their dogs trust them more than anyone else to do weird unfamiliar things to them. It really is more pleasant for the dogs if the owner is the one brushing them, bathing them, and cutting their nails.

Of course with the internet you can find a wide variety of dog grooming supplies online. This is probably a good thing because it helps to lower cost and give you more options to purchase different brands. Just make sure that you are buying what your dog really needs. Always make it a point to read the reviews on websites. They are very informational and people will tell their experiences with certain products and the companies they purchased them from.

A good dog groomer will take care to make sure that the dog is comfortable and not afraid. This is normally easily accomplished if the owner is present and the dog is familiar with its surroundings. You must remember that a scared dog will try and escape and get away from what is freighting it. You should take it slow and speak to your dog in a calm reassuring tone of voice. If you are calm your dog will remain calm.

Never forget to give you pooch a good dog wash. Not only is this a necessary grooming step but it also will get your dog smelling fresh and clean. This really comes in handy if your dog has been out in the mud or rain. Wet and dirty dogs make a mess and just don’t smell good. Yuck, do yourself and your dog a favor and give him a bath when he needs one.

The best dog grooming supplies are the ones that get the job accomplished and feel good to your dog. Nothing else really matters. It is important to keep in mind that dog grooming is really a health issue. If you want a healthy dog you must take care of it and grooming is an essential part of any dogs health regime.

Even though a dog ramp is not necessarily considered essential to the proper grooming of a dog it sure comes in handy. If your dog needs help getting in the wash area or grooming area a dog ramp will make it easier for them to get there. It is a little more comfortable and less scary for the dog to be able to walk to an area rather then be lifted.

There is no need to break the bank and get dog show grooming supplies. Just basic and essential supplies will do just fine and your dog will love you for having them. Actually your dog really could care less about the status of the supplies. They just want to feel good.

When it comes to grooming and pet care it really doesn’t matter if your talking grooming supplies; dog, cat, or bird…just make sure you have the proper tool for the job. Your pet will love you for it.

Dog grooming supplies is a small but essential part of proper doggy health care.

You need a dog ramp because Fido wants to get in the car, go on the boat, and go everywhere you want to go. A dog ramp makes it easier for him to get in and out of vehicles and places that might be to high or hard without one.

There are dog supplies for just about every darn thing you can think of. A dog ramp is the least funny object that people buy for their pets. Have you seen the AKC pet raincoat? Don’t laugh, it’s a real thing.

But I have gotten off the subject. We are talking dog ramp and we mean business! The small dog ramp is really handy if you don’t want to bend down and pick your pet up to put them in the car. That would be too much exercise. But your pooch will appreciate the freedom to be able to come and go as they please. It gets a bit embarrassing for the dog to be treated like a child. Next thing you know we are going to be putting dogs in a special doggy seat.

The dog car ramp is especially popular for dogs that are either too big or too small to get in and out of a car without help. You may laugh but you should try getting a German Sheppard in the back of a SUV without getting a large back pain.

The dog boat ramp is one of my favorites. You really have to keep an eye on Rover when near water. Even if you are using the ramp, dogs love water and will jump in whenever they are given half a chance. Then you have to put up with that “wet dog smell”.

But really, the car dog ramp is the most popular model sold. Most people don’t own boats but they do own cars. And most people like to take their dogs with them when they go places. It’s pretty funny that the dogs normally like going as much as the owners like taking them.

They have made it pretty convenient to haul around a dog ramp in your car, RV, or boat. How you ask? Well they have come up with the folding dog ramp. It is light weight, takes up little storage space, and can be used at a moments notice.

We used to have a dog step near the sofa in the living room. The sofa backed up to a window that the dog liked looking out of all day long. So the step would come in handy because Chihuahuas are small and have a hard time hopping up on high furniture. There really are dog products for every type of situation.

People who have AKC pets probably think they take better care of them then people who have mutts or mixed breeds. But that really is not the case. Once you get attached to a dog or cat they become part of the family and you treat them as well as you can. You don’t think about if they are purebred or not.

Do you remember the show, Calling All Pets npr. It was on National Public Radio. The show was devoted to pets. People would call in and talk about their pets and get information. It didn’t matter if they were AKC or not. Interestingly quite a few people would ask about a particular kind of dog ramp and if it was good or not.

Information Pets….Dog Ramp Pets…Pet Healthcare…There was no end to the subjects that would be discussed. The reason being is because people love their pets and want to take the best possible care when dealing with them.

Which brings us back to the subject at hand. If you have a swimming pool then you will need to get a dog pool ramp. All the best dog owners have one. The dog could hurt themselves paddling into concrete stairs. We can’t have that can we? There is a pet dog ramp for every occasion.

The dog bed ramp is the one that comes real handy and is loved the most by Spot. This way he can scamper up and down all night long and check things out. Better than you having to wake up every hour on the hour and pick him up and put him down.

The telescoping dog ramp allows a dog to get to high places. It is kind of like a ladder that adjusts up and down. Of course you will be doing all of the adjusting.

Who would have known that the dog ramp would have so many different models.
