You can get computers in just about any color you want.  There were two phenomenon that brought the color pink to the forefront of popular culture. 

• Hello Kitty
• The Rock Star Pink

Hello Kitty is that annoying cat that marketing people have plastered on everything from backpacks to designer clothing.  And they have made sure that it has all been plastered in pink.

The Rock Star Pink just has the name.  But she is popular and everything pink is all of a sudden in style. 

I suppose you can watch a Pink video and see her working on a pink laptop, sitting on a pink computer chair, and believe it or not, purchasing Pink concert tickets while online.  She of course would be listening to music blaring out of her pink computer speakers.

There was a time when you could only buy a computer that had a color to its shell if you were willing to buy cheap pink laptops.  People and companies just considered them toys.  They thought nobody who was serious would consider buying any hot pink laptop.  Boy were they wrong.  Now most major computer manufacturers will build you a laptop in pink or any color that you desire.

Interestingly you can get a pink laptop carrier to haul your hi-tech bounty around with you.   I guess the possibilities are endless.

We live in an age when everyone wants to customize whatever it is they own.  Cars can no longer be driven the way they come from the factory.  Now they need special tires, rims, and paint jobs.

Heck, people can’t even live with their own skin.  Everybody is getting tattoos so that they have the special “customized” look.

So why shouldn’t a person want a pink laptop notebook?  No reason I suspect.  Maybe it is a good thing that we don’t live by Henry Ford’s old saying.  When the Ford Motor Company was producing the Model T, Henry Ford famously said, “You can have this car painted in any color as long as it is black.”  For a while pink laptop computers were like that…You can have them in any color you wanted as long as they were black.  Pink laptops don’t look good in black!

So there is they story of the pink laptop computer.  No matter what you are after, a computer, Pink the rock star, or Hello Kitty, you can have it your way.

Pink laptops have come a long way and I suspect will advance with all other hi-tech devices.
